The GH3 is a modern hollow body designed for players who want warmth, clarity, and versatility in one refined instrument. Built on a fully routed mahogany body with a carved maple top and premium wood veneers, the GH3 blends traditional archtop character with contemporary playability and tone shaping options. From jazz to blues, jam, rock, and beyond, it is a responsive, expressive guitar that feels equally at home on stage or in the studio.

Body and Construction

The GH3 features a fully hollow, routed mahogany body for open resonance and rich low end response. A carved maple top adds snap and definition, while a figured veneer such as spalted maple, flame maple, or koa delivers a striking visual presence. Internally, the top is supported with routed bracing, and the back features routed cross bracing for added stability and tonal balance.

A comfortable belly contour on the back enhances playing comfort, and a rear electronics access plate allows for easy servicing. The body is finished in a high gloss polyurethane top coat, with satin matte sides and back for a smooth, broken in feel.

Neck and Playability

The maple neck is set in and glued for strong sustain and a seamless transition into the body. A 25 1/2 inch scale length and 24 medium jumbo frets provide modern reach and clarity across the fretboard. The ebony fingerboard features pearloid inlays and a 14 inch radius for a comfortable balance between chord work and lead playing.

A double expanding truss rod offers long term neck stability, while the bone nut and 1 11/16 inch nut width create a familiar, comfortable feel. The neck is finished in a smooth satin matte polyurethane that stays fast and non sticky during longer playing sessions.

Electronics and Tone

The GH3 is loaded with a pair of stock PAF style humbuckers wired with four conductor leads for added flexibility. Each pickup has its own mini toggle for series or split coil operation, giving you quick access to full humbucker warmth or brighter single coil style tones.

High quality Alpha pots and pull back cloth wiring ensure reliable performance and a clean signal path. The simple control layout features one master volume, one master tone, and independent mini toggles for intuitive tone shaping on the fly.

Hardware and Appointments

MA locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability and fast string changes, while the bound headstock adds a refined visual touch. The archtop style wood tailpiece and wood base Tune o matic bridge contribute to both tone and aesthetic, reinforcing the GH3’s classic archtop influence.

Chrome hardware complements the natural finishes, and white binding with a black accent stripe frames both the body and neck for a clean, high end look.

Finish and Feel

The GH3 pairs a glossy polyurethane top with matte finished sides, back, and neck. This combination offers visual depth on the figured top while keeping the neck smooth and comfortable for long playing sessions. Each guitar has natural wood variation, making every GH3 visually unique while maintaining consistent color and finish quality.
